Fanfiction Linkgasm

Today’s linkgasm compiles some stories that I think might be enjoyable to those who don’t normally read fanfiction.

Before the End of All Things by C.J. Marlowe – a contemporary take on Hamlet and Ophelia.

The Quiet Padawan by torch – a “fusion” story in the style of Georgette Heyer, in which Obi-Wan Kenobi searches for a Jedi Master. “…all knights and masters without padawans were required to take a regular part in the training of those students who were as yet without a master, in the hopes that the former would come to find a suitable match among the latter.”

To Be At Sea by Dhobi ki Kutti – a different angle on “Twelfth Night.”

Ramona’s Law of Reciprocal Actions by fairy_tale_echo – pitch-perfect Ramona Quimby at age seventeen.

Finally, Peter and the Power of Suggestion by keswindhover. “For once, Lord Peter Wimsey is at a loss. What on earth can a man buy his wife for Christmas that costs under a guinea? Harriet also has a one guinea budget for Peter’s present, but she has had the good sense to ask for assistance from Miss Climpson.”

About Victoria Janssen

Victoria Janssen [she, her] currently writes cozy space opera for Kalikoi. The novella series A Place of Refuge begins with Finding Refuge: Telepathic warrior Talia Avi, genius engineer Miki Boudreaux, and augmented soldier Faigin Balfour fought the fascist Federated Colonies for ten years, following the charismatic dissenter Jon Churchill. Then Jon disappeared, Talia was thought dead, and Miki and Faigin struggled to take Jon’s place and stay alive. When the FC is unexpectedly upended, Talia is reunited with her friends and they are given sanctuary on the enigmatic planet Refuge. The trio of former guerillas strive to recover from lifetimes of trauma, build new lives on a planet with endless horizons, and forge tender new connections with each other.
